SFAC KeralaThe fungus attacks through wounds on the fruits.
Luxurient cottony white growth of the fungus can be seen on the infected fruits.
The symptoms are mainly seen in fruits touching the soil and become watery and soft rotted.
Apply mulch on the soil to avoid direct contact of fruits with soil.
Prophylatic soil application of Pseudomonas or Trichoderma (20g / litre of water) will reduce the disease incidence.
Remove and destroy all rotted fruits.
